What it is, and what it needs.
- Wood
- Thermally modified spruce. The SaunaLife CL5G is built in 42mm thermo-spruce with two level thermo-aspen benches and an ergonomic backrest.
- Glass
- A full front wall and door in 8mm bronze tempered glass on the CL5G. Glass changes how a room heats and how it feels, so it is settled together with the heater rather than after it.
- Where it can go
- Outdoors, on compacted gravel, a concrete pad, pavers, or a deck platform. A deck platform is a normal answer here: our published Boulder work includes a cube on a deck platform our own crew built.
- Heater
- The CL5G takes a wall-mounted heater buildout only: the HUUM DROP 9 or the Harvia KIP, each with its controller and sauna stones. A Wi-Fi controller is available with every electric heater buildout we install.
- What comes with it
- The CL5G arrives with a shingled roof, an LED light bar system with wireless remote, ventilation, foundation beams, and a full assembly kit.
- Install
- Curbside freight, then site preparation, skilled assembly, heater installation, electrical coordinated through licensed electricians, packaging haul away, and a first burn walkthrough.
- Looking after the wood
- Left unfinished, thermally modified wood silvers naturally and takes no harm from it. Many members choose exactly that. To hold the original brown tone, the Exterior Preservation Buildout applies Osmo 410 UV Protection Oil in a two coat treatment with a one year application warranty.
- Looking after the interior
- Benches, wall paneling, and the door are sealed with a water based, sauna specific wax formulated to resist the heat and humidity that destroys ordinary finishes.

A cube reads as architecture rather than as equipment. Flat walls sit comfortably against a fence line, a deck, or a modern house, and at the same footprint the interior gives you more usable bench space than a barrel. The flat walls are also what make a large glass front practical, which is the reason most members end up here.
The SaunaLife CL5G is the shape of that argument. Our own sheet for it puts it plainly, and we will stand behind the sentence: the room feels twice its footprint and the view becomes part of the ritual. A traditional room reaches roughly 170 degrees Fahrenheit in about an hour.
Placement is a design decision as much as a practical one, because the flat walls and the glass front are what the house sees at night. The base still has to drain: in the Kansas City metro, clay soil and humidity make drainage the dominant variable, and on the Front Range, freeze and thaw cycling decides it. Your specialist confirms the base and the sight line before anything is ordered.
Everything here is sourced, delivered, and installed by us. Site preparation, electrical coordination through licensed electricians, delivery and skilled assembly, climate-appropriate protection, and long-term support are part of the project rather than options bolted onto it.
